Pepper is one hundred and sixty-four miles from home, and the veterinarian who needs her history does not have it. Vaccines, medication sensitivities, the details that matter when care cannot wait—they are still back in Portland. This is the moment OneVet was built for: helping the right record reach the right practice, with Pepper’s person in control.
Alex starts a scoped request for Pepper’s record. Juniper sees exactly what Alex is requesting, while Harbor sees nothing. Collection is not sharing; those are two separate permissions.
When Juniper uploads the synthetic record, OneVet first quarantines the file and calculates its SHA-256 digest. That exact source is accepted before extraction begins. Five candidate facts appear, each with an exact source citation. They are proposals, not truth, until Alex reviews them.
Only after Alex checks those facts can a share grant be created. The permission names one dog, one verified recipient, selected record categories, a care purpose, and an exact expiration. We deliberately test a different clinic. OneVet fails closed, and nothing is disclosed.
At Harbor, the package is still not trusted by default. The practice verifies the recipient binding, the policy release, the source digest, and the access window. On acceptance, Harbor receives only the facts Alex approved and only the categories Alex shared.
The delivery also creates a browser-signed receipt binding Harbor, the source, the policy artifact, the facts, and the expiry. Change that payload and signature verification fails. The demo key is intentionally ephemeral; a production deployment would bind signatures to verified clinic identities.
Under the calm interface is an exchange protocol checked across two hundred sixty-eight thousand, seven hundred thirty-six distinct TLA+ states, alongside signed AION policy evidence. The demo uses synthetic data and never makes a clinical decision. It proves the handoff, not the medicine.
